Along with it have come competing for truth claims concerning who is qualified to speak for a religion. Perhaps more than any other religion in the United States, Hinduism has been subject to intense debate over who is qualified to accurately represent its philosophy and practice. 3 दिसम्बर/पुण्य-तिथि                     बौद्धिक योद्धा सीताराम गोयल विदेशी और हिंसा पर आधारित वामपंथी विचारधारा को बौद्धिक धरातल पर चुनौती देने वालों में श्री सीताराम गोयल का नाम प्रमुख है। यद्यपि पहले वे स्वयं कम्यूनिस्ट ही थे; पर उसकी असलियत समझने के बाद उन्होंने उसके विरुद्ध झंडा उठा लिया। इसके साथ ही वे अपनी लेखनी से इस्लाम और ईसाई मिशनरियों के देशघातक षड्यन्त्रों के विरुद्ध भी देश को जाग्रत करते रहे। 16 अक्टूबर, 1921 में जन्मे श्री सीताराम जी मूलतः हरियाणा के निवासी थे। उनकी जीवन-यात्रा नास्तिकता, आर्य समाजी, गांधीवादी और वामंपथी से प्रखर और प्रबुद्ध हिन्दू तक पहुंची। इसमें रामस्वरूप जी की मित्रता ने निर्णायक भूमिका निभाई। इस बारे में उन्होंने एक पुस्तक ‘मैं हिन्दू क्यों बना ?’ भी लिखी। वामपंथ के खोखलेपन को उजागर करने के लिए सीताराम जी ने उसके गढ़ कोलकाता में ‘सोसायटी फाॅर दि डिफेन्स आॅफ फ्रीडम इन एशिया’ नामक मंच तथा ‘प्राची प्रकाशन’ की स्थापना की। 1954 में कोलकाता के पुस्...
