Vedic Roots of Ancient America

What if Hindus and Hopis, Advaitins and Aztecs, Tibetan Monks and Mayans were part of one world culture - a spiritual one?

Hindu culture, civilization, custom and belief also dominated ancient America to some extent. Ancient Americans believed in legendary cataclysm, rebirth, four yugas and the concept of two planets like Rahu and Ketu causing solar eclipse. The Hindu doctrine of the ages is preserved in a stone monolith popularly known as the Aztec calendar. This remarkable piece of stone carving is in the form of an immense disc 12 feet in diameter and weights over 20 tons. A festival called Sita-Ram (Situa-Raimi) was celebrated in Mexico during Nav-Ratri or Dussehra period which has been described on page 5867 in the book 'Hamsworth History of the World'. Both in Central and South America, there are found Sati cremation, priesthood, gurukul system, yajna, birth, marriage and death ceremonies to some extent similar to the Hindus.

Intellectual Warrior: Sitaram Goel

3 दिसम्बर/पुण्य-तिथि                     बौद्धिक योद्धा सीताराम गोयल विदेशी और हिंसा पर आधारित वामपंथी विचारधारा को बौद्धिक धरातल पर चुनौती देने वालों में श्री सीताराम गोयल का नाम प्रमुख है। यद्यपि पहले वे स्वयं कम्यूनिस्ट ही थे; पर उसकी असलियत समझने के बाद उन्होंने उसके विरुद्ध झंडा उठा लिया। इसके साथ ही वे अपनी लेखनी से इस्लाम और ईसाई मिशनरियों के देशघातक षड्यन्त्रों के विरुद्ध भी देश को जाग्रत करते रहे। 16 अक्टूबर, 1921 में जन्मे श्री सीताराम जी मूलतः हरियाणा के निवासी थे। उनकी जीवन-यात्रा नास्तिकता, आर्य समाजी, गांधीवादी और वामंपथी से प्रखर और प्रबुद्ध हिन्दू तक पहुंची। इसमें रामस्वरूप जी की मित्रता ने निर्णायक भूमिका निभाई। इस बारे में उन्होंने एक पुस्तक ‘मैं हिन्दू क्यों बना ?’ भी लिखी। वामपंथ के खोखलेपन को उजागर करने के लिए सीताराम जी ने उसके गढ़ कोलकाता में ‘सोसायटी फाॅर दि डिफेन्स आॅफ फ्रीडम इन एशिया’ नामक मंच तथा ‘प्राची प्रकाशन’ की स्थापना की। 1954 में कोलकाता के पुस्तक मेले में उन्होंने अपने वामपंथ विरोधी प्रकाशनों की एक दुकान लगाई। उसके बैनर पर लिखा था - लाल खटमल मार…
